Use
- Place on dry, level, heat-resistant surface.
- Before first use, wipe cooking surfaces clean with damp cloth or sponge.
- For best results, use small amount of cooking oil spray on cooking surfaces before each use.
- Preheat until heating indicator light turns off.
- Cut out pie crust base and lid using included crust cutter.
- Carefully place base crust in lower cooking surface of machine. Use caution as machine will be hot.
- Scallop or overlap cut-out edges of dough and press down gently so base fits neatly in lower cooking surface.
- Add approx. 1/3 cup of filling. Use slightly less for denser fillings such as meat or those that will expand.
- Place lid crust on top, add egg wash for crisp finish and close cover.
- Heating indicator light will turn on and off during cooking process as machine regulates temperature.
- Average cooking time is 3–5 minutes. Cooking times vary depending on recipe.
- To check for doneness, use oven mitts or potholder and carefully lift cover using handle. Lift from the side to avoid placing arm over hot cooking surface.
Care
- Before cleaning, unplug machine and allow it to cool.
- Clean interior and exterior surfaces with damp cloth or sponge.
- Wipe dry with soft cloth.
- Never immerse machine or cord in water or any other liquid.
- To remove food residue on cooking surfaces, pour small amount of cooking oil onto residue. After 5 minutes, wipe clean with paper towel or dry cloth. Use clean kitchen brush or toothbrush to remove stubborn food residue.
- Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads as they may damage surfaces.
- Make sure all parts are clean and dry before storing.
- Do not wrap cord tightly around appliance; keep it loosely coiled.
- Store appliance in its box or in clean, dry place.
